Receiving her Master of Arts degree in Psychology and Counseling in 1979, TJ has now accumulated over 30 years of hands on service in the field of mental health. TJ’s counseling experience includes treatment for anxiety, depression, couples counseling, grief therapy, lifestyle changes, and drug and alcohol abuse.  TJ specializes in treating people suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, as well as other anxiety disorders. 

TJ works with all age groups from young children, adolescents and adults in both individual, family or group sessions providing a cognitive behavioral therapy approach for many diagnoses, yet is flexible in her ability to incorporate an eclectic style to accommodate for individual needs.

TJ frequently pursues educational updates in order to provide the most current and effective standards of treatment and care.  She has provided numerous training opportunities for organizations in regards to family dynamics, anxiety disorders, and counseling for children with special health care needs.  These agencies have included Family Centered Care in Charleston, South Carolina; the Medical Home Conference in Spokane, Washington; Central Valley School District, Spokane, Washington; IDEAS Conference, Spokane, Washington; Family Service Spokane, and Saint George’s School in Spokane.  Additionally, TJ has taught classes on communication skills, parenting, child development, assertiveness training, and ethics.
